April English is a Kentucky born artist who makes colorful and abstract textiles for any home. Known as April Rugs online, she loves making rugs, wall decorations, coasters, and any textile oddities using her tufting tools. She strives to bring uniqueness, color, and character into everyday life. Her drive to make art has been catapulted by her love for art history and creating things by hand. After graduating from Western Kentucky University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Art in Art History, she picked up rug-making and hasn’t put it down since.
Each rug is handmade in her home studio in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In her free time, April likes caring for her plant collection, drinking chai tea, and long walks on the beach.
